Horsey Seals 23-3-17

By | 26th March 2017

With the weather on Thursday being bright, but still a cold Easterly wind, a trip to Norfolk was the order of the day.
Arrived at Caister for lunch for a carvery, I must say how wonderful it was, as well as good value for money. After lunch a walk round the Town of Gt Yarmouth for a few bits of shopping before heading of to see the Seals at Horsey Gap, which happens to be about 12 miles north on the coastal road form Yarmouth.
The seals at Horsey on the East coast are a spectacular sight to see as well as great photographic opportunities to see wildlife at its best. I must admit the best time to go and see the seals is  between the end of November and December, that is the time the  Females (Cows) have there pups.
Access to the beach is a bit of a walk, but once there the sight that greets you is wonderful. The only thing I did not take was a long lens as this trip was a last minute idea,  I still managed to get reasonable close  to them with my G7x  which has a small but very good built in zoom lens.
I for one will return latter in the year and hopefully to photograph the pups.
