On the way back from Flatford my friend and I decided to called in to a small town in the heart of Essex called Thaxted.
Thaxted is a town and civil parish in Uttlesford district of north-western Essex, the town appears in the Doomsday Book of 1086 as Tachesteda, Old English for place where thatch was got. It is also on the glide path to Stansted Airport, approximately 8 mile’s away.
On our arrival during the late afternoon we noticed that most of the shops were closed and there were not many people around, only the local hostelry and small coffee shops were open.
Photographically this is a fantastic place to take rural images, as well as a nice Parish church and a Windmill for good measure, so we spent a couple of hours there, as well as take in a drink before heading home.
I decided to do a bit of creative work to the images and try to get some thing that is different, as the software that I have enables me to do that, would be rude not to.
