My annual holiday to do something different from the norm, this year a visit to the county of Yorkshire for a week up North.
My first visit to the wonderful city of, Kingston Upon Hull to spend a few days with friends of ours, Julia, that live in the village of Hedon, just out side the city boundaries, what a lovely village it is, mind you at first I thought it was a town, being put straight on that one by the locals.
Hull or it is preferably known as Kingston Upon Hull is in the East Riding of Yorkshire, it lies on the river Hull and is in confluence with the Humber Estuary, 25 miles in from the north sea.
Taking pictures in Hull I found interesting, with a mixture of old and modern working well together, if you want there is plenty of opportunity to take a wide range of subjects , from industrial, architectural, old and modern, street life and if you like boats, a marina is also available, all within walking distance from the many car parks available in the city.
I decided within this blog to do some creative images as well as monochromatic, I felt that the city deserves the recognition as being a great city for photographers to apply there monochromatic skills as well as there creativity.
This was a great start to my Yorkshire tour 2018 and one for sure will be returning to this city to have another crack and producing some more images in the future.
