A trip to St, Neots on a Sunday afternoon for the annual Armed Forces weekend event, was a last minute order of the day, or afternoon in my case.
Officially known as the St Neots Armed Forces Gala weekend it takes place every year and it is to show support for men and women of the British Armed forces community past, present and future. Held in the picturesque setting by the River Ouse in St Neots this is a family day out with demonstrations, Military displays, vehicles past and present, climbing wall, live stage entertainment and plenty more that was on offer for those who like a good days entertainment. With all this in mind a small carpark levy of £2-00 for the whole day makes this good value for money.
With the weather being warm and overcast I decide to travel light, camera wise, only armed with a Nikon D-300 and small 24-80mm Nikon Zoom lens, this gave me plenty of scope just to take a few images for this blog. as I arrived late on the Sunday afternoon, most of the days demonstrations had past so it left me little scope to photograph the event and do it justice, saying that the time I was there I managed to come away with a few decent images, after doing a bit of creative manipulation.
I did this event 2 years ago I said then I would return and that I did, maybe next time I will plan this event and not make a decision at the last minute as most of the entertainment I wanted to capture had already finished, forward planning for the next time will be taken with more consideration.
